INTRODUCTION
Imagine what it must have been like during the days of the dinosaurs. If you could travel back in time which dinosaur would
you like to see? What would you want to learn?
During this webquest you will travel to sites that, with a little imagination, will take you back to the days of the dinosaurs.
So climb aboard the time machine, set it for the year 150,000,000 B.C. and hold on!
TASK Your task for this journey back in time is to collect facts about dinosaurs, their behaviors and paleontology.
You will also become an expert on the dinosaur that has been assigned to you. After you have collected your data you will
enter it into our class dinosaur chart. Then you and your partner will create an exhibit for a class Dinosaur Museum. You
will present your exhibit to the class to teach them about your dinosaur.
THE PROCESS 1. First you will be assigned a partner. 2. Then you and your partner will be assigned a dinosaur
to research. 3. Next, you will click on the link DINOSAUR INFORMATION SHEET and print out a copy. It will provide
you with research directions. 4. Then you will visit the sites to find important and interesting facts about dinosaurs
and pictures to print out and color. 5. When you have collected your data, you will work with your partner to plan
an exhibit that teaches others about your dinosaur. Be creative! You may wish to make a poster, diorama, mobile or scene
with clay figures. Your exhibit must have labels and important facts. 6. When your exhibit is completely finished
you and your partner will present it to the class. Be prepared to teach the class about your dinosaur. Remember, you are
an expert now!
